I have a habit of placing my toothbrush in the eye socket and, not expecting much, it comes out with a tooth in the eye. My dentist also did this, and I got a clean bill of health. I’ve never had a single tooth come out in my eye, and I’m not a fan of the dentist, so I didn’t tell the folks at my dentist to stop doing this. Now when I do it, I put it back in, and I’m much happier.
There have been many studies indicating that the brain has a way of storing memories that aren’t quite as well-formed as we have been led to believe. Studies done at the University of California at San Diego and the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center have shown that we have a brain that can recall memories for up to 60 minutes after they occur. This is called delayed but not erased recall. This is a key component of our ability to remember things we have experienced many years ago.
This is one of the reasons why many of us are not as sharp as we could be when it comes to remembering things. It may seem that we arent as sharp as we could be, but for those of us who have this capacity, our brains are constantly telling us how we can be more sharp.
We spend a lot of our day trying to remember things. And one thing that is often our first step to doing that is to try to forget them. We all know this happens all the time. But we have to stop thinking about it. Think of it as forgetting. This is one of the few ways that we can actually put it to use. You can’t just say, “I’m going to get up and go to the bathroom right now.
This is a common technique that we use at work. It’s called “The 10-Second Rule.” This technique is to say to yourself, “im going to take ten seconds to brush my teeth,” and then go back to doing what you were doing. For example, if you are working on a project, it’s very easy to just make a mental note and go back to doing what you were doing.
In most cases, this is pretty useless, but for some people, this is actually quite effective. For example, it’s one of the reasons that I’ve used it for so long at my job. If I’m sitting at my desk, I can pretty easily remind myself to brush my teeth just by thinking about my teeth, and if I want to brush my teeth a little earlier I can do that too, by doing something that reminds me of brushing my teeth.
As I mentioned in the title, a project where it wouldnt work was a game. A game where Im trying to brush my teeth, and the game only has brush-like teeth is pretty useless. But by thinking about it, and remembering my habit, I can brush my teeth in a way that lets me brush my teeth in a way that I know will work.
Think about what you are thinking about, and think about it in a way that it helps you to remember. Or if you want to brush your teeth, maybe you should brush your teeth in a way that you are remembering to brush your teeth.
I don’t know about you, but after a few minutes of this I have a new habit of brushing my teeth.
The reason is this: It’s not actually a tooth in the eye. It’s a tooth in the mind. The teeth are there because we’re thinking about them. We’re thinking about them because they’re there. There’s a reason why we brush our teeth. We’re thinking about it because we brush.
