What we hear on espn.com is what we hear on the radio. But what we’re hearing is news that makes us feel nervous. While we can’t control what the news is saying, we can control what we do with it.
The thing that I was most worried about is that the latest news about our beloved New England Patriots was that they were having some health troubles. That was just a little too much for my nerves, so instead I brought up the upcoming NFL season and the upcoming World Cup soccer tournament. You know, what else? I didn’t think this would matter, but the news really put our nerves on edge.
Speaking of the World Cup, the teams that had their best soccer this year were the US and England. The US won the World Cup, and they are on the verge of adding one more major trophy to their collection. England, meanwhile, had a horrible year, losing to both Brazil and Germany.
I know this sounds a little bit melodramatic, but this was actually one of the most exciting World Cups I’ve seen in my life. Even the U.S. national team was pretty good, and Brazil had one of the worst efforts in recent memory. It is impossible to have the best soccer team in the world and have one of the worst efforts in world sports. How would the U.S. team have done against the best? I can only imagine the U.S.
It’s like a time-loop thing again, except the U.S. team is the best and no one has a time loop.
It’s hard to say. The best I’ve seen in person was at the 2009 World Cup in South Africa, where Brazil was on a roll, but the U.S. was terrible. It seems like it would be easy to have a time loop in Brazil, but the U.S. was a mess. It actually seems pretty difficult to think that a U.S. team could have done better, but we shall never know.
Brazil’s team is the first team we have seen that had a time loop on TV and it was pretty bad. We expect better from the U.S. team, but we really doubt they can do much better. They are a team that’s been on a long, hard road to get to the WC. Their goal against Argentina was a classic time-loop fail, where they had a lot of possession, but then were beaten by a team that was good at keeping possession.
The Brazilians scored about as many goals against Argentina as they did against the USA did. The Brazilian team were actually quite good during those four games, but as was the case with the U.S. team, they were outplayed. The Brazilian team went on to lose the WC game against Australia.
Argentina was indeed a time-loop fail, and despite having the better team, their goal against Brazil were the only goal scored during the entire WC. It was a clear case of a team that was really good at keeping possession getting beat by a team that really was good at keeping possession.
The Brazil team was very good at keeping possession, but they were also very good at keeping the ball. They were not simply slow. They were actually good at getting the ball back to their own players. That’s not bad at all, but it doesn’t look like they were as good as the U.S. team.
