“You Don’t Need a Diet to Lose Weight” is the title of a new book by diet and fitness expert, Maria Shriver. I have a copy of the book in my hands and am eager to read it. It claims that dieting and exercising do not have to be mutually exclusive. I don’t know about you, but I can’t imagine ever making a decision to exercise without doing a little more dieting first.
The book is written in the style of a personal journal. You can feel the author’s frustration and anger, but every page is filled with inspiring words and quotes from experts who have been successful in losing weight. I was excited to see that the author was also a competitive athlete. I know that losing weight is important for health, but I can’t help but think that losing weight is even more important for your athletic performance.
Well, I think of it this way. If you were to lose a large amount of weight, the likelihood that you would gain it back would be very low. The reason is simple: You are losing a lot of water weight. Water is the same thing in every cell of your body, but it gets absorbed differently depending on which part of your body it’s being lost.
It is very important and very difficult to lose water weight because the more your body absorbs water, the more water weight you carry around. So if you are very active, the likelihood that you’ll gain weight is very high. If you are a couch potato with no running or swimming time, the likelihood that you’ll gain more weight is very high.
The reason water weight is so problematic is because the more water you lose, the more it makes your body absorb. If you don’t lose water weight, you can actually hold onto water weight for a whole day and not notice it. For example, when I first got my water weight I was 5-foot-4, 180 pounds, which is the average height of most people. If we were both still, my water weight would be somewhere in the 100-200 pound range.
Zonisamide (or zonisamide-like substances) are the chemicals that trigger the body to store water as fat. They’re called appetite suppressants and are also used to treat epilepsy and depression. They aren’t usually advertised as a weight loss tool, but because they’re so common, many “weight loss” diets include them. As a result, they may sometimes be included in diets as part of a weight loss program.
While I dont know about you guys, Ive heard a lot of people say that they’ve tried them, but didn’t succeed. Others say they’re a good weight loss tool, but only as a supplement. Ive also heard people say theyre great for when you get sick with a virus or something like that or they are good for when you need some energy and you don’t want to keep eating everything just to get enough energy.
I’ve heard a few different stories about zonisamide. Some of my friends who have tried it, say that theyve been weightloss for years, but have been unsuccessful with it. Others of my friends have tried it, and have failed miserably. Ive heard them all, so Ive decided to give a little history of zonisamide as a weight loss tool, and also to explain the reasons why some people say theyve had more success than others.
Zonisamide is an appetite suppressant found in a capsule that you swallow. It works by suppressing the chemical receptors of your brain so that you are unable to feel hunger. It has no effect on the neurotransmitters that control our moods, so you will feel the same way you always have. What this means is that you are no longer able to feel the desire to eat, but you are still able to feel the desire to eat more.
There are also some people who have found success with zonisamide. Some of these success stories include a young man who developed a severe depression after being diagnosed with Huntington’s Disease. He was prescribed zonisamide, and within a month his depression disappeared. He said it was a life-changing drug.
