After being a part of the production of the documentary “The Three Levels of Self-Awareness,” I am now a part of the production of the documentary “The Self Wears Off.” I am currently living in St. Petersburg, Florida and working on a production that will air on PBS June 16, 2015. Check out the interview below for an insight into this project.
Also check out a documentary on the film The Self Wears Off in theaters June 20, 2015.

The Self Wears Off is not a documentary, it’s a comedy. The film follows the exploits of a young, black woman named Jennifer Love Hewitt as she pursues her goal of being the first woman to wear a full-body bikram yoga-inspired outfit. She’s not quite ready to actually wear it so she creates a costume, wears it, and then gets her ass kicked by the other yogis. Of course, this is all just one big joke.
That’s the joke.
There’s a lot of comedy in this movie, but the humor really comes from Hewitt’s decision to make people laugh, just by taking a bad situation and turning it into a comedy. She can’t understand why people are laughing at her, but she does. The movie is really funny, but it’s the comedy that stays with you.
Its funny though because Hewitts isnt trying to be funny. Its just a movie with some funny moments.
The movie is funny, but funny because its not a comedy. The humor comes from Hewitts decision to take some situation and turn it into a comedy. She cant understand why people are laughing at her, but she does.
I remember when I was 12 years old. A family member was having an out of body experience, and the whole family were in the room with me. It was funny, but it was also scary. It was like being around a group of people who were dead but not really dead. The experience was like being around a party of people who were still alive, but were dead and they were all still talking. It was funny, but scary. This movie has a similar effect on me.
