Because water has the power to dissolve and change the color of the earth. So when water evaporates it leaves behind a blue crust on the surface of the water. This crust also serves as a natural waterproofing layer on the water. Some plants, like the blueberry plant, have the capacity to absorb water from the atmosphere. So when the water reaches the plant’s roots, the plant absorbs the water and the blue is left behind.
There are a few reasons why we would see the blue crust on our skin when we’re dehydrated or when we’re sweating. One of them is that blue is an excellent natural sunscreen. Another is that blood vessels are much more sensitive to UV radiation than skin or even other skin colors. The blue crust is just an aesthetic feature.

If you were to take out a bunch of skin-colored hair under UV lamp, you would see that the hair was completely red but the blood vessels were not. This is why the blue crust is made up of red blood vessels.
I don’t know if this is true for all humans, but I feel like it is for all skin colors. To put it in terms that are helpful to a beginner, if someone is pink, we can see that there is blue vein underneath. Or if someone is red, we can see that there is blue vein underneath. So in that sense, blue veins are much more sensitive than other colors.
The reason our veins are so blue is because red blood cells have their own DNA that makes them different from other cells. In some cases, we can actually see the DNA itself. Our skin cells, for example, have the same DNA as our brain cells. But unlike the brain, our skin cells don’t divide and die, so we have a lot of red blood cells that live and reproduce and continue to grow.
There are many different types of cells- some of them are pretty common and some of them are rare. The blue vein cells are rarer than the red blood cells. It is because as we age, our bodies slowly become less and less capable of manufacturing red blood cells in the way that our bodies normally do.
In the same way that our eyes are more sensitive to light than our brain, our veins are more sensitive to light. This may be why some of us get blue veins. We have an “invisible sun” that actually takes up more room than our eyes do.
In a way it’s a good thing, because the blue veins are probably the most common, because if they were rare, they would probably get caught in traffic accidents. Because of the same reason, the rarest colors also tend to be the brightest.
