I’m sure most of you are familiar with this but it’s an interesting finding from a study done by MIT researchers. They found that the average person prefers a variety of sensory experiences to one another, and that people are more likely to choose an activity they enjoy more than they are to select an activity they prefer less.
The most interesting part of that study is that it’s not just people’s tastes that are driven, the researchers found that people were also driven to pick sensory experiences. And it appears that many more people prefer to choose a deeper, more immersive experience rather than an experience that’s more accessible. The study also says that people tend to prefer their sensory experience to be more immersive.
I personally am not a fan of this study. I think it’s too vague and I think it’s too reliant on the people’s own personal experiences to be able to draw any conclusions. But I do think the study has something interesting to say about the way we are driven to choose things, and I think it’s a good reminder that we usually aren’t that interested in things we don’t like.
I think this is something that has been on my mind lately too. I think that people often like to think that they are choosing things that are more “enjoyable”. But all the things that we like to like are usually things that we also dislike. So I think this study is a good reminder that although we enjoy things more when we are more aware of them, we don’t always like it when we are more aware of them.

People tend to like deep and shallow things in the same way that people like sugar candy and chocolate candy. The difference between the two, however, is that deep stuff is something that you can’t get anywhere else, such as deep space or deep ocean. And shallow stuff is something that can be found right next to deep stuff. Deep stuff is deep, but shallow stuff is shallow. So you can find deep stuff everywhere you look.
This is why I’m a little disturbed with the study’s findings. People like this deep stuff because they feel more connected to that deep stuff than they do shallow stuff. They feel more connected to something, and they feel more connected to that something, and they feel more connected to others, because they feel more connected to that thing. That deep stuff is deep because deep things are deep.
This is one of those things that makes me think about why we need deep stuff. We don’t need deep stuff because deep things are deep. We need deep stuff because deep things are deep.
Our brains are built to be in the moment. And by that I mean that we are hardwired to be in the moment. We should, when we’re doing anything, be in the very moment. That is how we are wired. We should be thinking about the next thing we’re going to do or the next thing we’re going to say.
I think this is a really great example of how we should be thinking about things more than we are. In the movie, “The Matrix,” when Neo is on a mission to kill the man who created the Matrix and destroy it, he says, “I’m gonna take you to your destination. All I have to do is take you there.” This is the same principle that is at work in our own lives.
