I think we can all agree that stock news wire is an important part of the day–and it is. But, I am not entirely sure the term “stock news wire” is the best way to describe how we understand the news.
The original definition of stock news wire was a wire service that broke news. The word “wire” is an old term that was often used in the context of a wire service that sent messages by means of wires. The modern definition of a wire is one that is sent across a space by means of a conductor, usually by cable or telephone. A wire used to be an old-school way to send messages–like a letter, but it didn’t actually work that way.
When we first started the company, our first job was to produce wire news services for investors. We called these “wire news wire,” in my mind, because they were written in the style of wire news wire services, like the CNN wire service, that were also in the news. I thought they were pretty cool.
The news wire is also a means of communicating between two parties that are not related–like, say, two brothers. A wire news wire was basically a long piece of wire, like a length of phone line. If one person wrote a letter to two people, that was considered a wire news wire. If a person wanted to send a wire wire, they might send a letter to two different people.
In the old days, a wire news wire was just a phone line that went straight to the phone company’s headquarters. As more and more people moved to cell phones, the wire news wire service became a thing. It was one of the only ways to get the news out to those who didn’t have access to a regular landline. The wire news wire service was the first thing you would have if you wanted to get the latest breaking news on the internet.
Today it’s still possible to get news wires using your cell phone. But it’s not nearly as convenient as the old days. The wire news wire service is still the only way to get any real breaking news from anywhere in the world, and it’s also still the most expensive way to get news. It’s still an excellent way to read stories that you’d find in a paper or magazine, as it’s usually not hard to find an editor willing to put your story on the wire.
In fact, the only thing that really makes it worse is that the wires take so long. Its a pain in the ass to get a long story like this up and running, especially in a city like Los Angeles where the news is often scarce and expensive. For that reason, the wire news is often considered the most unreliable of all the news sources, a fact that is often lost on people.
If you read the wire, you will notice that its usually only a couple of people doing a story at a time, meaning that the editor has to rely on other people’s skills to get it running at a decent speed. This is a good thing in and of itself because it means that the story you are reading is less likely to be influenced by the news cycle and more likely to be true to it. The truth you are reading is what editors work to get it on the wire.
This is why there is a huge difference between a wire feed and a wire story. A wire story is not created from the wires that run every day. It is created from people pulling from a different source than the rest of the media. A wire story may run a couple of days in the past but the editor is always doing a search to see if they have anything interesting from a different source. A wire story is created from a different source than the rest of the media.
The last time you heard about the stock-news wire that ran on a wire feed, you would have probably said that it was a big joke. It’s a big joke. These days most of the wire stories we see are just a bunch of stock quotes from the wire feed. There’s no real sense of urgency or anything, just a bunch of random people, the same people we see on the wire.
