As soon as I heard that the state of the world and how it is impacting us was going to be the topic of a talk at the University of California at Berkeley. I thought it would be a great topic for a talk. So, how did I do? Well, I think I might have mentioned that I am an actor. One thing I’ve never ever gotten wrong is my eye twitch. It’s not just for my benefit either.
How about that! I’m glad I wrote that because I’m pretty sure I have my eye twitch back again. But I think it is just the way I am and not the state of the world as a whole.
So, you might say, “Well, I am not an actor so I could be affected by this,” but really I think it is because I am on TV. Yes. I am a TV actor. Just the fact that I am on TV is like, a really large part of who I am.
So I guess what I’m saying is that there is a level to which our bodies are aware and others are not, but not everyone is aware of that fact. In fact, some people are more aware than others. For example, I tend to be very aware of my eye twitch but I am not aware of what it is about me that causes it.
So, like all the usual TV actors, you have to adjust your eyes when you’re not in character, or when you hear someone speak. And it’s not like you’re just “going through the motions” like you’re on set and can just do what you feel is appropriate. You have to adjust your eyes.
The problem is that people have the tendency to think the problem is in the eye, not in the head. And that is a problem because people tend to blame the person with the problem in the head. And this is why the face mask is such a big deal. Because the problem is more in the head than the eye.
In the film the character (played by Christopher Walken) says to everyone he meets “Just trust me, I know what I’m doing.” He is right. But as a viewer, you must remember that every situation is different and you must remember that the person who has the problem is also going through something that you have no control over.
That said, it’s easy to see that the problem is not limited to your own head. We all have to deal with the problems of others, but we are at least as aware of them as the other people who have that problem. The problem is in the head because it’s always there. And it’s not always a bad problem either. It’s just different from the other problem because we’re never aware we have that problem.
It’s interesting how so many people have trouble talking about feelings with people who are not close to them in any way. But one of the reasons that I feel that way is because they know it is probably a problem to their friends and family, but they feel it is not a problem to them. I think a lot of people assume that if they can’t talk about their problems with someone else, then it must be a problem to them.
This is just not the case. There aren’t any good reasons to feel bad about something, or to be embarrassed about it, if you’re not aware of it. And I think it is a big step of self-awareness to realize that you are not alone.
