If you have a cataract, it’s likely that you have a higher chance of developing a secondary cataract than someone without a cataract.
There are a number of reasons why secondary cataracts develop, but the main one is the fact that the cornea, which is the light-producing center of the eye, is made up of two layers of tissue, a basal epithelium and a functional surface layer. If you have one of these layers missing the two layers become separated, the eye is said to be a ‘secondary cataract.
Secondary cataracts can be extremely painful and sometimes cause damage to the cornea. This is why many people have them. Because cataracts can destroy your vision in a blink, it’s not uncommon for a cataract to cause a cataract to form in another eye.
If you have a secondary cataract, it can be either congenital or acquired. Congenital cataracts are ones that are caused by the disease that causes the cataract. These are also often asymptomatic and have no symptoms. They can be a sign of a hereditary condition such as Stargardt’s Disease. Acquired cataracts are ones that are caused by something that has damaged the eye.
Secondary cataracts are more complex and rarer. They are caused by the aging process and are often associated with chronic eye problems. For instance, macular degeneration can cause a secondary cataract and can cause loss of vision.
Secondary cataracts are a complication of age-related maculopathy (ARM). ARM is a condition that causes the central parts of the retina to become less sensitive to light and, thus, less able to focus on objects. For many people, the process which causes this cataract is a result of the cataract itself, but ARM can also be induced by certain medications, toxins, or conditions.
What’s the problem, you ask? The problem is that, because the eye has to be kept in the same location for the entire day, there are no natural breaks in the day. There’s no natural break where the eye can rest.
This is what causes the secondary cataract. It’s called a cataract because its shape is similar to that of a cataract. But this is not a cataract, it is a secondary cataract. It is a part of the eye which will form over time when it is left in the eye without treatment.
Secondary cataracts are caused by one of three things. The first type is called traumatic cataract. This type of cataract is caused by some type of injury to the lens within the eye. This is the most common type of cataract, and the kind of cataract most people have. Traumatic cataracts are often caused by car accidents, sporting events, and other traumatic events.
This is the second type of secondary cataract. This type of cataract develops over time as the first type of cataract forms.
