I’ve never had this problem, but I know people who seem to get it, so I can only assume it has something to do with the very strong emotions you experience when you hit rock bottom. It’s also possible that your emotions are a result of too much time spent thinking about a certain situation while the problem itself is still very present.
It seems to me that if you are trying to feel positive emotions, you need to stop thinking about the problem and start thinking about the solution. There are two problems here. First, we’re not actually solving anything. We’re just looking for a solution to a problem that doesn’t actually exist. It doesn’t matter that you don’t know how to solve the problem, but you can’t see how to solve the problem anyway.
The second problem is you are not actually being depressed, you are just being reactive because of the way you think. If you are being depressed, you are actually losing your ability to feel negative emotions, which you should be trying to alleviate by thinking about solutions to the problem.
