So, if we can make our oceans more stable by keeping our consumption down, we’ll all be happier.
So, with all of that being said, there’s a problem: we’re not keeping up with the demand for ocean water. Since the 20th century, sea levels have been rising by about 0.5 meters each year. In the next couple of decades, there will be no more land on the ocean floor to absorb this extra water. This means that our oceans will be shrinking, and it will be up to us to fix that.
