I’ve been taking my three kids to Disneyland for the past three days and on top of that we also just finished one of their favorite rides, which is a pretty awesome roller coaster. And then yesterday, in the middle of dinner, I woke up and had a nightmare where I was running up and down the roller coaster and it was completely surrounded by a sea of purple.
This is a real thing. My friend and I were at a club on Friday night and we ended up getting into a conversation with a couple of the ladies there. I didn’t know what this conversation was about because I was kind of drunk, but I definitely heard some of the conversation. One of the ladies was saying something about how we could all learn something from each other because we are all in this together.
This was a great thing! I thought about it for a few minutes afterwards and realized it was a great thing. I have always believed we should be a little bit concerned with each other’s well-being, but I was really surprised that we should be so concerned about our own well-being. I am an introvert and a super-smart person. I tend to prefer a relaxed, laid-back environment. That’s really what I am looking for.
And so we should be careful about the things we can’t control, like our bodies. A recent study found that the more stress you get from a situation which you can’t control, the more stressed you are. For example, if you have a lot of stress from dealing with a situation that can’t be changed, then the stress has a greater impact on you than if you have no control over it.

I was diagnosed with anxiety disorder in the mid-nineties, and I went through a long period where I was really stressed out. I got really anxious, thought I was losing control of myself, and I was worried that I couldn’t do anything and that I would just end up crazy.
Some things can’t be changed. Things like your health. If you’re stressed because you feel like you can’t control something, then the stress will make it worse. You don’t have to take things to extremes just because you’re stressed out.
Anxiety is a symptom of many mental illnesses. And for those who suffer with anxiety, the fact that it is treatable is truly a blessing. I dont mean to sound harsh, but anxiety is a very real thing. People who suffer with anxiety can get incredibly anxious, and the fact that there are ways to help them is an incredible blessing.
