Every day, I am amazed by how much time I waste in the office. I’m a big fan of the office gym, but I’m always amazed by the amount of time I waste in the bathroom.
I know this sounds like a total waste of time, but I think it’s because of the mental activity. You know how you are always doing something? And you know how you end up doing something more productive but not actually accomplishing anything? When you get into a habit, it’s hard to break it.
Well, that’s the same reason why I love the office. But how is this applicable to your situation? If you are a big time procrastinator, then like any other habit, you will have to break it eventually. It helps to be aware of how you are spending your time, and to think about how you can have more productive activities to do.
The same applies to procrastination. You can either try to break it, or you can just sit around and plan what to do. If you want to do something more productive, you can do it, because you already know it. If you want to do something more productive, you have to break it first.
If you want to do something more productive, you have to break it first. But for some reason that does not always happen. For some people, procrastination is just a habit, like many other habits they have, because they just don’t realize how often they are doing it. We don’t think of it as a habit, but it’s as much a habit as smoking or drinking.
Some people just habitually procrastinate. I see this a lot with people who get really excited about a new idea, or who seem to be the most interested in a particular project. They just have no idea why.
That’s just a term I invented that basically means procrastination is the habit of doing something you have no intention of doing. As in, you dont think you are going to do it, but you do. But yes, people do it for a number of reasons, both internal and external. Sometimes it’s just a habit, like procrastinating on a project, when you can just finish it later that day, or just because you dont want to wait in a long line.
We are currently running a patient recruitment campaign where our best and brightest surgeons are coming in to volunteer. Its a difficult process, but we are hoping that this will help.
As it turns out, one of the best ways to become an expert at something is to be passionate about it. In a way, we all become experts at something eventually, as we learn the craft, apply our knowledge, and hone our skills. But there’s a lot more to it than that. It’s about applying your passion for something to your life in a way that lets you share it with others and do something meaningful with it.
Its not just about becoming an expert, its about sharing your passion for a very specific field with a whole community of people. The more you share your knowledge, the more people will learn from you, which is how the whole science of spreading the word is in operation.
