In this episode of the podcast my husband and I discuss the possibility of having a stent placed during open-heart surgery (heart stenting). Heart stenting is a procedure that can be used to reduce blood clots that can lead to heart attack or stroke. The procedure involves inserting a tube into the artery before the heart attack. These stents are meant to be placed in arteries that have blocked blood flow.
Heart stenting is an incredibly common procedure with many different types of stents. The most common type is a covered stent. A covered stent is implanted into the blocked artery and then the tube is removed. The tube is normally made of plastic or metal. The main benefits of having a stent is that the artery will not get so blocked that the artery will not heal properly and the risk of infection is substantially reduced.
One of the downsides of stents is that they can sometimes get so blocked that they cannot be removed. This can happen if the artery is so large that it cannot be passed through on the inside. The problem with this is that it means that the artery will never fully heal. But if it never heals, it will never get enough blood flow, and the blockage will never be so small that it can be passed through.
A stent is a special kind of balloon-expandable tube that is inserted into a blood vessel to prevent blockages. Doctors use them to prevent heart attacks, blockages of arteries, and other heart problems. Stents can be placed in the femoral artery, in the carotid artery, or in the brachial artery. They are inserted under the skin by using a special catheter. It is implanted underneath the skin and leaves an opening.
The stent is basically a balloon that is inserted in a blood vessel and used to block an artery. It can be used to either prevent a heart attack or prevent blood clots from forming in a blood vessel. It is inserted by a catheter, which is a small tube that is inserted through a vein or artery and a special balloon is used to push the catheter into the blood vessel.
The stent is a fairly new procedure, but it is quite effective. It has an average success rate of 95 percent, but there are complications, such as, for example, that two of the three patients who experienced a heart attack have died from their procedure. On the other hand, there have been a few studies that have found that the stent is about 80 percent effective in preventing heart attacks, and that is what really matters.
There are three different types of balloons, and a special balloon is used to push the catheter into the blood vessel. The stent is a fairly new procedure, but it is quite effective. It has an average success rate of 95 percent, but there are complications, such as, for example, that two of the three patients who experienced a heart attack have died from their procedure.
Another complication is that the procedure is not without risk. If the stent is pushed too fast, it may migrate into the artery, so we recommend the stent be pushed slowly and carefully. And if the balloon is too big, the stent may burst, so we recommend that the balloon be smaller.
All in all, this is a very effective and effective stent, but if you’re concerned about the risks, you might want to go with a balloon angioplasty or other type of revascularization.
In case you are wondering if that’s a Spanish word, we have no idea, but we assume its a French word.
