This is the exact reaction I had when I read this. I immediately thought of my napping habits, and I knew I had to tell someone.
My napping habits include not sleeping for anywhere near 24 hours straight, drinking the same amount of sleep I’d drink if I weren’t ditching my bed in favor of the couch, and skipping eating anything that might give me a headache that won’t go away right away.
Well, to be honest I don’t even know if napping is a good thing or bad thing. The good thing is you just relax and don’t think about it. The bad thing is if you start doing this you might end up with a headache that lasts for days. So if you were to try to sleep just like I’m doing, you might end up with a headache that lasts for weeks.
Well I guess there is a risk that you could end up with one that lasts for weeks. But I think that if you were to do this, it would be a risk worth taking. In other words, sleep is a necessary part of living.

I don’t think I would have a headache from napping, but I did my best to napped off and on recently. Now, I sleep between four and five times a night. But I am not complaining. What I am complaining about is that I did not sleep in the morning. My brain is constantly trying to wake me up for work and school.
We are not in the business of naps for pleasure. We are in the business of waking up to life. That is a necessary part of life. That’s why the sleep problem is so challenging for us.

So we’re not going to lie to you and say that it doesn’t affect us. But we do know we do need it. Without enough sleep, our bodies may not be able to function properly. We may not be able to perform on our level. We may not be able to properly focus on reading or even concentrate at times.
