I love the hadlima series on my blog, as it is a collection of essays I’ve written about my life, my relationships, and how I understand the world. These essays were originally published in The New York Times Magazine.
I’ve always wanted to write a book, but never had the time to do it. Since college I have enjoyed working as a teacher and am currently teaching two social studies courses. The hadlima series is a great way to keep on top of all that I’m doing and to write about my experiences as a modern-day writer.
The hadlima series features a variety of essays on various topics, some of which are very personal in nature. I have written essays about my relationship with my family, my favorite books, and other bits and pieces of my life. I’m also extremely active on Twitter and have a few other online accounts, so you can follow me on there as well.
Hadlima is actually a social studies course that I taught for the past 8 years. The series began as a part-time series in which I had students post essays of one-to-three pages that they had written during the previous semester. It was an excellent way to keep up with all the topics that I wanted to discuss. I wanted students to know that writing essays for me was a challenging task.
The first part of the course went really well! It got me to really like writing essays and I’ve been teaching it for a while now. The second part of the course has been a bit of a struggle. It’s been too short, and I didn’t get enough feedback from students on the assignments. I’m trying to expand the length of the second part, but I don’t know if I’ll be able to.
That sounds frustrating to me. In the writing part of the course, which is all one semester, you receive feedback from students on how they thought of the assignment and on how to improve on it. I would definitely like to expand that to include feedback on the writing of essays as well. I need to know how they feel about the assignments.
I know it might sound harsh on our part, but the students really do want feedback. So I’ll be trying to expand the length of the course as well. I’d like to work with them to improve the quality of the writing. I want to find the most efficient and effective feedback.
The students are actually the very same students that wrote the essays we just discussed. The same students who made us realize that we need to spend more time on our assignments. And they want to know how the assignment is doing.
I think it’s clear that the students who wrote the essays want to know what’s going on. I’m not sure why they haven’t just come in and talked with us. I think part of it is that we have a real problem with the students’ tone. They are not making it easy for us to give feedback. They are telling us something that makes us want to scream in our ears.
I think it may be a reflection of the students’ lack of effort in writing. It just doesn’t seem worth their time doing it. The only solution is to do better. What you can do is give them a chance to do their essay in writing. After all, that’s what they seem to be doing.
