the majority of our thoughts and actions are on autopilot. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing either. Our habits, routines, impulses, and reactions carry us through our lives so we don’t have to stop and think about it every time we wipe our ass or start a car.
The problem is when we’re on autopilot for so long that we forget we’re on autopilot. Because when we’re not even aware of our own habits, routines, impulses, and reactions, then we no longer control them they control us.
Because we can’t control our autopilot thoughts and actions, we can’t control our thoughts and actions. It’s like trying to fight a shark who is smarter than you, or a vampire that can turn into a werewolf. You can’t win against the shark, or the vampire, or the werewolf. The only thing you can do is control your own actions.
This is why we need to remember that we can control our thoughts and actions. For example, we can choose to pay a bill every month or not, and depending on how we choose to pay it, our habits, routines, impulses, and reactions will have a tremendous impact on what happens. We can choose to drive on the weekends or not, and depending on how we choose to drive, our habits, routines, impulses, and reactions will have a tremendous impact on what happens.
For instance, a person can choose to buy a pair of sneakers at the mall on the weekend, or not. This choice could lead to how often they drive, how many hours they drive, and how often they sleep. While these may be quite small variables, they can have a profound effect on how we work, how we live, and how we think.
A large part of fallback driving is deciding not to be fully immersed in the car culture. If you don’t take the time to have a conversation with a person or a group of people (particularly about what you like and don’t like with a car), you’re less likely to be able to make optimal choices.
That’s why I’ve always been a fan of going into the office with a notebook. With a notebook, you can write down everything you do in the car, and then you can either try not to do it, or you can try and write down everything you do in the office too. If you do these two things, you’ll be much more successful at work, and your day will be better as a consequence.
One of the best ways for me to improve my ability to make better decisions is to try and write down as many things as possible before I go to work. This way, I can review my actions all day long, and when I have to make a choice, I’ll have a better idea of how its going to turn out. To help with this, I often have a notebook nearby when I drive.
That’s a great tip. The problem is that making decisions is hard, especially when you’re making it on paper. In fact, I have to admit that this actually isn’t even necessary. It can be harder to make decisions in real life than it is on paper. But I also think that this is one of those things that we just need to accept the fact that we can’t always predict everything. But that’s a conversation for another day.
You may be thinking, “but that’s just me being lazy!” That’s fair. But I am also guilty of being lazy. You need to accept that you cant always predict everything, and that things can easily turn out the way they did. I feel bad for the guy who has to try to make a better choice. But I feel bad for the guy who has to try to make a decision when its already been made.
