Maybe you don’t think your allergic reaction is a problem, but it is. Think of those emotions as your “emotional allergy,” which causes you to feel no pain. This way you can still feel something, even when you’re not feeling it. It’s a way to keep your body alive, and it’s a way to get rid of pain.
The emotional allergy is actually quite simple to understand. You feel pain when you are sad, so you need to eat to keep your energy up. You feel happiness when you are happy, so you need to smile and be nice to everyone. You feel fear when you are scared, so you need to run away from the situation.
