I’m not saying that overweight people are the same as obese people. In fact, most overweight people are not obese. They have a few extra pounds, and some are even super over-weight. But it is true that we are more likely to give in to our urges to eat. And it is not just our weight. We are also more likely to give in to our urges to spend time, or to do things, when we are tempted to overindulge.
So if your weight is more than twice what you’d expect, you may not want to be tempted to overindulge. If you’re over 40, you may want to think twice about spending a lot of your time and money on fancy clothes, vacations, booze, and women. If you’re over 50, you may want to think twice about eating a lot or binge-eating.
The point is to curb your urge to eat more and spend less time and money on things that are likely to produce overindulgence. One of the easiest ways to do that is to make sure you are eating healthfully before you head out to buy a fancy meal or drink. I personally have read that it is best to eat a half-cup of fruit or vegetable per day, or half a cup of vegetable soup, and then have a small glass of water before you head out.
A good rule of thumb is to eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner in proportion to your body weight. A pound of fat has roughly the same effect on your metabolism as a pound of protein, so if you weigh 100, you probably only need to eat a tenth of a pound of food to maintain your weight.
I think most people will agree that eating a variety of foods is a good thing. As for the opposite, I think most people don’t want to be overweight. So I would suggest that you choose a meal or drink that is not too heavy and healthy. Then you won’t have to worry about your weight.
Over-weight people are just a little better at hiding their body weight because they have a much larger brain and a smaller stomach.
I am not sure if it is possible to be overeatful and not gain weight. I am not overweight but I am definitely overweight. And I am not sure I would want to be overweight.
The fact is that, in general, obese people are better at hiding their body weight because we know they are being fat. When I see someone who looks like they are 80 or 90 pounds overweight, I automatically think that they are an overweight person. But they are not. That is because we know that they are fat and we know they are not.
