One of my favorite pieces of jewelry is a ring that holds a tiny gemstone in the center. This ring is a self-portrait, and because of the nature of the stone, is designed to look like a person. The stone is a self-portrait, and thus, it is abstracted.
This is a very interesting thought experiment. You can see that in the above image where the stone stands out against the background, it almost seems as though it’s a person. There’s also a line through it, which is probably just a shadow from the sun. This is the first time I’ve noticed this in real life.
There’s another way to look at this. If you had a stone that looked like a person, and that person was standing right next to it, you could look at the stone, and think that that person was looking at you. The best way to think of it is that the stone is a self-portrait of a person. It’s an abstract representation of itself, because the stone is designed to look like a person.
This is what we mean by “representational art.” This concept is basically the idea that if you see an image, you can read about it, and therefore it has a life of its own. You can go on a walking trip to the museum and you can do a bit of research, but you can also look at the museum without being in the museum, because you didn’t look at it.
For abstract art, its pretty straightforward because a person has to be working on a specific piece of art at a specific time. That means you can’t really look at it and just go on and on about it. You’re also more likely to get it wrong, because you’re working on the piece at a specific time. So think of abstract art as a series of mistakes.
In modern day we have a tendency to forget how much we have to rely on our own ability to see things clearly, even though we all know we rely on our eyes far too much. This can be a bit of a problem because if you have a problem remembering your past, you may even have a problem remembering the problem you were having.
It’s not that we are so bad at remembering things, we are just bad at remembering things very clearly; it’s just that we forget things very quickly. A good way to remember your past is to look at it as a series of small steps, and remember the steps that you took to get to the present moment you are currently looking at.
Here’s another excellent way to remember your past. It’s not the same thing as looking at your past as a series of steps, but it can be done. For example, it can be really useful to look at your past and see how you got from the point of your current moment to your time as a baby. By making a mental drawing that shows you how you got from that point to your current moment, you can really visualize the process of getting from your past to present.
I really like this because it helps you visualize the steps you have to take to get to the present moment.
