After a trip to the doctor with the flu, I was told I had a zika virus. Since it was just a brief illness and I was healthy at the time, I didn’t have much fear. I was so relieved.
A few days later, though, my doctor told me that I had been infected with the Zika virus. And now that I’m back in school, I’m afraid to go out in public. I have to stay inside in my dorm. I don’t want people to think I’m contagious, or that I may be.
Zika is a mosquito-borne disease spread byAedes aegypti mosquitoes. So it’s nothing new. The CDC is warning people to be on guard for mosquito bites when traveling to or living in areas where the disease is present. This is the most recent CDC statement on the virus.
There is a good chance that you have been infected with the Zika virus. The CDC has stated that the virus is not a risk to pregnant women and children under six. Some studies have found that women who are infected with the virus are about four times as likely to become pregnant as women that don’t have the virus.
Zika is a virus that is spread through mosquito bites. People who are pregnant and women who are pregnant are at risk of contracting the disease. However, the CDC also states that anyone with a fever of 38 degrees or higher should consider themselves at risk of developing the disease.
Zika is not the same as SARS. It is not transmitted to humans through aerosolized material, such as the common virus that causes chicken pox. It is transmitted directly through the bite of an infected mosquito. Zika does not usually cause serious illness in children, but it can. It is therefore important to be aware of the risk of infection in pregnant women and women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
The virus is spread from person to person by the bite of an infected Aedes aegypti mosquito. This mosquito is the same one that is responsible for spreading dengue fever and chikungunya. The mosquito is most active during the day, so people who are outdoors when the mosquitoes are active will be most at risk of being bitten.
There are more than 11,000 confirmed cases of Zika virus in the Americas, but most cases are in Brazil, the country best known for its beaches. More than half of the cases are in the states of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, and Espírito Santo.
While this mosquito makes its way around the world, it’s not the only one spreading Zika. In fact, it’s one of the main ones that can be spread by mosquitoes. The other main one is the yellow fever. When a mosquito bites its host it becomes infected with the virus. Since this is an arthropod, it will generally live in water that has been infected with bacteria and viruses.
While the Zika virus is still not widely known, there have been numerous cases of yellow fever. In particular, in Brazil, there have been 13 confirmed cases of these viruses. The virus is transmitted to humans by the bite of an infected mosquito. It is spread via the urine, saliva, or sweat of infected people who have been infected with the virus.
