A local reporter for WCCO News died after suffering a stroke while working at a news agency in downtown Cleveland. Chris Kunkle, 43, died on Monday, Aug. 6.
The cause of death is not yet known.
WCCO is an NBC/Television station based in Cleveland. The reporter was hired to cover the city’s public safety scene, and the news agency he worked for was located inside the site of a recent fatal traffic accident. A spokesperson for WCCO sent the following e-mail to the station’s viewers.

The crash happened on the evening of March 5. A car traveling south on the highway near the intersection of State Street and Riverside Drive went into a ditch and was run over by a vehicle traveling north on Riverside Drive. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of our colleague.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as an unidentified man. The man was reportedly in his 20s, and witnesses identified the vehicle as a Nissan Versa sedan.
A representative of the California Highway Patrol said that the identity of the driver has not been released at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
The best part about the news is a new video from the California Highway Patrol confirming the identity of the driver. So if you’re going to kill someone, just be sure to make your name known.
