We don’t feel this will be good for the site in the long run and it will likely lead to a decrease in content quality.
The ads that Tencent has been placing in videos have been annoying for us, so we feel they might not be as annoying as they once were.
Ad placement can become a real issue on smaller news sites. For example, in the United States of America, we see almost twice as many ads as all the major media outlets combined, including TV, radio, newspapers, magazines, and online.

It’s a company that has always been very good at creating new, innovative ad formats, and this time around they’ve actually created a whole new ad format that works well for us.
