As summer begins to heat up, it’s easy to forget that the region that includes us all, south Haven, is still very much in the throes of winter. Whether you’re looking for a place to hang out and warm up in the middle of a Chicago winter or a cozy, cozy place to gather with family and friends to listen to music, the region is still warm and inviting.
The weather has been so bad that the town of South Haven, located just over the Wisconsin border, hasn’t had a Christmas celebration in months. But that doesnt mean it is completely barren of hope and happiness. Its still going strong, so the town has turned to the local school district to offer a fundraiser for the schools and the residents of the town. As a result, there will be live music on Friday night at the local high school.
A local music enthusiast, Chris Cavanagh, has arranged for a band to perform on Friday night.
The band is called The Humpbacks, and theyve got a pretty cool lineup.
The band is a four-piece that is as much of an act as they are a band. They are a mix of a bunch of different kinds of musicians and have been playing at various clubs and events, but mostly at music festivals. The band is based out of New York City, and with their debut album, they have been touring around the country.
The Humpbacks are a very diverse group. They are all pretty good musicians (the bass player is also a bass guitar player) and are all fairly young. We know from our own experiences that bands tend to grow and mature over time, but this is the first time we’ve heard them perform live. The Humpbacks actually have a great sound to them, which is something that we feel is very rare nowadays. Their sound is really great and you can’t help but get into it.
It is worth noting that this is a band who toured around the country. The tour is scheduled to continue through the end of October, so expect more news on this in the future.
The Humpbacks will be back to work on a regular basis and will be hitting the road in the fall. As for what theyve been up to, it will be interesting to see how the band is shaping up.
The band has a solid fan following, so it’s easy to see why they are hitting the road. The band is an outfit who can easily find a crowd through their music and showmanship. The first set of the tour is titled “Humpbacks”, which is all about the band’s name and the idea that they are the only band in the world. The stage is a large grassy field and the stage lights are dimmed.
This is a band who aren’t afraid to do a little showmanship, to the point that they’ve been known to go out on stage with their equipment and do a little stage diving. I’ll be interested to see if they have the strength & focus to stand out on their own in front of a crowd.
