I have never liked the term “raiders,” I always thought of them as “takers,” who have a mission to take over the world and are not averse to spending lots of money to do it. I thought that term was used a lot by the media since they were the ones that were “raiders” to start with. Although they may have been “raiders,” they weren’t all that different from the people I know who actually have a mission.
As a person who has been to numerous international conferences (including the recent one in Toronto, Canada), I noticed that it is rare for many of the attendees to bring a backpack with all their gear. This could be because there are no bag searches at these gatherings and most of the attendees are not planning on spending a lot of money going through the airport if they can avoid it.
This is actually a very good thing because you don’t want to show up with a backpack full of clothes that have been left at the airport and hope that people who do know you get to see your stuff. I would prefer to see more people bring a backpack with a couple of outfits in it. I know at these types of gatherings, there are people who will bring just a couple of outfits just so they can see you and not worry that they’ll be spending a lot of money.
They are actually quite generous with their outfits. In fact, one of the reasons I love playing online games is that your character has the option of bringing a couple of outfits. It doesn’t mean you can’t dress up your character though. I have one character who is very casual, and another who dresses up in his armor. He also has a “no accessories” rule which states that he can’t have weapons/accessories such as knives.
It’s interesting how the outfits in raids can vary depending on what you want. If you want to hide your loot in your inventory, you can hide the loot in your armor. However, if you want your gear to show off at all times, you can bring a outfit to show off your armor.
If you want to dress up your character, you are allowed to wear a costume, but you can’t wear accessories like knives or any other item that shows off your armor.
With all the armor and equipment you can get in raids, it should be fairly clear that you can wear anything you want. But since the game is designed to be a single-player game, players aren’t allowed to wear any armor other than their class’s standard armor that is unlocked at level one. You can wear the same clothing in a game with a cooperative multiplayer mode, but you are still limited to wearing the armor of your class.
The game is designed for solo play and the team version will allow players to unlock a number of different classes to play with and even have a friend join them. But the only class that can be unlocked is the “healer” class which is basically the equivalent of a medic in real life. The problem I see with this is that the “healer” character is actually a healer and not a character with a special ability that lets you heal.
Also, the game does not make it clear whether the class’s special ability is to heal all characters or just the player. It’s not clear whether you can pick up a character’s shield to heal them, or whether you can heal only one character. That’s just a problem if you want the class to have a particular effect.
The point is, the raiders are not a party. They are not a group of characters. They are a group of people. They have a mission to accomplish and a goal. They make mistakes, they have to work together, and they die. That’s more than I can say for the medic character in real life.
