Kartik Aryaan is a new book that explores three levels of self-awareness: self-awareness of a lack of self-awareness, self-awareness of a lack of self-knowledge, and self-awareness about self-knowledge. It explores these topics from a Buddhist perspective.

Although the book is primarily about kartik, or the spirit of the kartik universe, the book is written from his point of view as well. I think it will be a great read.

I think the book is really good, it’s well written, and it’s also full of interesting quotes, but I also think the book is a bit too long at over 700 pages. There’s a lot of stuff in there that can be cut in a more digestible form.
One of the things that drew me to the book is that the author, Arundhati Roy, talks about his work being “very un-relatable.” I think that comes across in the book that way, as if he has no respect for what he’s attempting to say. That’s a good thing, I think.
