A game changer patient is someone with a rare genetic condition that requires a life-long, multi-stage treatment plan to achieve the best possible outcome.
The cancer itself is a type of cancer called a myositis, which is a muscle-wasting condition that can occur in any part of the body. It’s generally the result of a sudden disruption of the normal functioning of muscle.
This condition has been around for a long time, but for the first time it has been brought to medical science’s attention, and patients with it are now able to get a better quality of life than they would have been previously. The doctors said the new treatment options are more effective and less painful than the standard treatment, which is radiation.
According to the press release, the new treatment option is to inject the cancer cells directly into the patient’s esophagus by using a needle that is inserted as part of the conventional treatment. This means that the patient is still put through a painful, and potentially life-threatening procedure, but it is an option. The doctors have said that the procedure is less painful than the conventional treatment, which is radiation.
As it turns out, patients have very limited options when it comes to treatment for esophageal cancer, according to the statement. The most effective treatments involve surgery and chemotherapy, while the best treatments come with a combination of both. Only about half of the patients with esophageal cancer have any chance of survival, which means that there isn’t a cure-all. This is still a very bad sign, because it means that we continue to treat patients in an ineffective way.
The only cure for esophageal cancer is to give the patient the best possible treatment. And that means surgery, and it means chemotherapy. And it means radiation. And it means chemotherapy and surgery. And it means radiation and surgery. It means radiation and chemotherapy and surgery and radiation and chemotherapy and surgery and radiation and chemotherapy and surgery and radiation and surgery.
These treatments may have saved some lives, but they have also killed thousands of others. More than 15,000 esophageal cancer patients in the US are currently alive, yet the majority of those lives were lost because of ineffective treatment.
I’m not a patient, but I do have an aunt and uncle who are. Her parents were married for 50 years before her mother had cancer. Her aunt was diagnosed with cancer and her parents were supposed to get surgery and chemo, but they were told by the doctor she was too unstable to have surgery and chemo. Her uncle was told he had a 10 percent chance of surviving, and he died of cancer.
They decided to give his parents the chemo he desperately needed to make him cancer free.
But as you can imagine, the chemo wasn’t enough. His parents’ cancer has spread throughout the entirety of his body and he has now lost the use of his arms and legs as well as his entire nose and mouth. He’s now in a wheelchair he can’t get out of.
