I can’t say this enough. I know what you’re thinking. “No, you’re not the only person who feels this way. The majority of people don’t. I know from experience it’s true. I’ve been there, though. I don’t feel particularly good about it.” That’s not what I mean.
What I mean is that, yes, people do feel this way. And to be honest I have no idea why.
The idea of “donating plasma” is so silly that most people find it laughable. The idea of “donating plasma” is that you can give blood to others, you can make a little donation, and then you can just walk away and forget that you did anything. Thats not how donating plasma works. In the real world, people donate plasma to people they know.
Well, its not really that silly, but it is a good example of why I think the concept of donating plasma is silly. The reason we donate plasma is because we can. If we don’t, then the life we have is useless. And yes, that sounds very much like a joke. But I don’t think its just a joke. I think that it is a serious issue that many people have never really thought about or talked about.
Well, I think a lot of the reason people dont donate is because they dont realize how much it will cost them. Sure, I can go buy plasma at the grocery store, but the cost of that plasma is much higher than buying the same amount of cereal. Maybe they dont realize the effect the donation will have on their health, or something. I mean, the amount of blood that a person will need for the procedure is pretty large.
I have never met anyone who has to go through this procedure who doesn’t have some sort of health issue. For one thing, it is a blood donation and a lot of blood is needed. For another, it takes a lot of time to donate. For another, the procedure is very expensive. And for another, it takes a lot of pain. I mean, the procedure itself is relatively painless, but the aftermath of that pain is one of the worst things you can experience.
The procedure is essentially a blood donation where a blood sample is drawn from the donor. It is stored in a vial and sent to the lab. Once the process is over, the vial is sent to the lab as well and the blood sample is tested. But once the blood has been tested, the test results are sent to the lab.
In many ways the procedure sounds pretty similar to a blood donation, but it is completely different. There are two important differences. First, the blood sample is tested by a machine (which is like a blood-testing machine). Second, the blood sample is put back into the vial. Once it has been tested and the blood has been put back in the vial, it is put back together. It becomes one whole blood sample.
Blood is a fluid and therefore should be treated with respect. When it gets in the vial, the sample is treated with respect. It is put back together. It becomes a whole blood sample. The blood test is a safety measure. It is intended to make sure that the sample is safe to store. It is not a test to determine the efficacy of a medicine. It is a test to make sure the vial is safe to store.
But is it a test to determine the efficacy of a medicine? What if the medicine doesn’t work? Or if a medicine is ineffective? I’m not sure, but there’s not much I can say about the “test” that doesn’t sound pretty far-fetched.
