What I am about to tell you is a little bit of a shock. This has been going on for years and years and years. The truth is that I have always been a bit of a shy person. I grew up in a family that didn’t really like the spotlight, and I wasn’t the most outgoing of kids.
Like most people, I have spent my whole life in a fairly sheltered environment. I have lived in the same house my entire life. I have spent a fair amount of time in the public schools. I was a competitive swimmer all throughout high school, and was even considered a promising swimmer at one point. I even lived in a few small towns and really got to know the people there.
The problem that I have with being shy is that I find myself feeling more open and confident when I am really being myself. I want to be really open and confident when I am going to meet people, but I feel like my mind is shutting down all the time. It’s like the mind is constantly working against me rather than encouraging me.
To get to where I am right now, I was really just feeling my way. I’m not saying this to get a rise out of anyone, just just really trying to be myself and not be ashamed of who I am. It’s like I’m getting very angry with myself when I feel like I’m really hiding who I am. I feel like a lot of times I’m just not even trying or trying so hard because I know how hard it is.
