The aurora team aurorae, (formerly known as “the aurora blog”), has undergone some changes since we started the aurorae project in august of 2011. The most significant change to our auroral presence are its new name: auroral alerts, and auroral alerts’ new function: to keep aurora-watchers up to date with aurorae happenings in our city that we are not covering at aurora news.
The auroral team is always excited when the northern lights decide to show themselves again they’re incredible! And their rare appearance can be frustrating to aurorae watchers who have been waiting for their return. We are a team of aurora lovers and auroral alerts is our way of getting the word out that aurorae is back in town, so we can all enjoy them together!

If aurorae sightings are reported from your location then we hope that our auroral alerts will help point out where these wonderful sights can be seen. We also want to remind everyone about safety, so please let us know of any unsafe conditions and follow auroral safety tips.

The aurorae team is really busy this year! We’ve been working on some new projects as aurora watchers, auroral photographers and auroral enthusiasts. As an aurorae enthusiast it is a great time to get outside with your family and friends.
