Why Atypical Season Four Might Be Atypical?
Atypical Season four might be Atypical because there seem to be a lack of typos in Atypical. On average, Atypical episodes contain about one typo per episode as pointed out by an article on the subject: “There are only about one or two typos scattered throughout each season,” he says. Atypical could be Atypical because it is Atypical to have a show as Atypical and popular as Atypical with such few typos in each episode.
A good example of this would be the Season one finale, “I’m just not that into you”. In all fairness, there were only around five typos in Atypical season one, but there were ten times as many errors this time around. The premiere of Atypical Season four contained sixteen spelling and grammar mistakes while the finale had a whopping thirty-seven! This could be due to the fact that Atypical did not take into account how much less wordy Atypical was Atypical than Atypical.
The difference in the number of typos could also be due to the fact that Atypical is Atypical and Atypical for a teen TV show, while Atypical has more complex language which can cause errors. Another possibility is that because Season four had only ten episodes as opposed to Atypical’s twelve, Atypical had more time in between episodes to edit the script.
Conclusion :
In Atypical Season 4, there were no typos. This is a big deal considering how often people with autism struggle to communicate and are misunderstood in the world around them. One of the biggest issues that affect autistic people on a daily basis is their inability to express themselves properly because they lack social skills or have trouble understanding what other people say. The show does an incredible job at showcasing Sam’s thoughts as he navigates high school while living with autism and we hope this continues into future seasons! We love when TV shows can bring awareness about things like disabilities without being too preachy or heavy handed (looking at you Big Bang Theory).
