We all can’t seem to get enough news here in the United States. Americans are glued to the news, especially during the summer time, and they are usually very happy to talk about it. So, when we hear that North Korea is developing a missile capable of hitting the US mainland, we usually think about nuclear war. But, I think that the news isn’t just news.
That makes sense considering the fact that North Korea (and China) have threatened the US with nuclear war in the past. In fact, North Korea claims it is working on a nuclear warhead. But how big is a nuclear warhead? We don’t know for sure, but if it’s really big, it could be enough to destroy the entire US.
Well, I think that we would be over reacting to a potential nuclear war, but it is just as likely that the threat of a nuclear war is a reality. In fact, the nuclear threat is so real that North Korea is having to put in some extra measures (like testing the bomb in the ocean) as they try to prevent their country from being sucked into a nuclear war.
This is the first time in history a country has tried to test a nuclear weapon, but North Korea is no stranger to this either. In the late 1960s, North Korea tested a hydrogen bomb, which exploded outside of North Korea’s only nuclear test center. In response, the U.S. launched a missile strike which caused a nuclear explosion in the Nevada desert.
In the last few years North Korea has also tested its nuclear weapons. Last year, North Korea conducted an underground nuclear explosion. This is the first time it has used the same method to explode a nuclear device, which could put the entire country on high alert. In the early 2000s North Korea tested a hydrogen bomb. The result was a fire and explosion that took out much of the city of Kaesong. This is the first time North Korea has used a hydrogen bomb.
It’s probably safe to say that this is the most recent of the recent North Korean nuclear explosions. It’s not just limited to the last few years, it’s been happening for years. The North Korean government has always said that they are in the process of building small nuclear weapons.
North Korea has been doing this for years. Its most recent known test was in 2006. The nuclear weapon was deployed and detonated at a much smaller scale. The result was that they were able to detonate it far away from the populated areas that they had previously thought they had a nuclear capability. If you know of any other recent test, please share it in the comments.
This news article mentions something else that may be of interest: nuclear weapons are not only used for peaceful purposes. North Korea has claimed that it has the ability to deliver nuclear weapons to the most remote areas of the world, and a recent report indicated that they have developed a version of the technology to do so.
The report that’s described here is from a Russian blog called “The Insider”. It’s a piece that contains a lot of interesting information about North Korea. Although it is a bit dated, it does seem to suggest that North Korea is getting close to having an actual nuclear weapon, and that they are also working on its ability to deliver them to remote areas.
So far we’ve seen that North Korea is actively trying to build a nuclear weapon, and that they may already have a version of it. It’s also mentioned that North Korea has a rocket that can launch a nuclear missile very quickly. Although how fast the missile actually launches after launch is unknown.
