Today is the day we get the last flight of the day from London’s Heathrow Airport. After takeoff, there’s a bit of a wait for the plane to arrive and land. We’ll be traveling to the Netherlands and Belgium on Airbus A320. The flight will be full of surprises.
Airbus has just announced their new A350 and it is the biggest commercial airplane in the world. This is a great airplane that can carry more than 1,000 passengers and is able to perform as a plane in a wide variety of ways. It has a great range of features including a large cabin, modern avionics, a large amount of storage space, a high cargo volume, and it can achieve a speed of 800 knots.
Airbus claims its A350 will offer “one of the best in-flight entertainment experiences”, and that it will be able to provide passengers with the “same quality of entertainment as their seatmates.
Well, it’s not the same quality of entertainment, because it doesn’t offer any. You can’t get a TV, for instance, or a movie, or a phone, or a book, or a CD, or a game, and the only thing you can get is a headset.
Airbus could have put the best entertainment in the sky at the top of its list, but it chose not to. Instead they chose to focus on the most annoying thing about the A350. That is, the inflight entertainment system, which I get that they might have been really excited about, but which is very easy to make a mistake about, and which is also not good for your privacy.
The A350 inflight entertainment system is known as the “Airbus A350.” The system is the best thing about the A350, and it is not that bad. I had a friend at work ask me if I was going to write a lengthy review of the system, and I said, “No, not really.” He then said, “Well, you should write a review.
Well, I’m really, really, not.
Well, it is bad news, but I will let that slide. The A350 has been discontinued in a few regions, and no one is really trying to talk much about it. The thing is, I feel like I should be writing a review of it. But I might as well just say that I am a big fan of the A350. I just don’t know how to make it sound like I’m a big fan. It just doesn’t seem to sink in.
So, like the A350, the A330 is a successor to the A350. It too still has its original name, but the A330 is a bit cheaper and lighter than the A350, so it’s more popular when used in short-haul flights. Its predecessor is also the A320, though the A320 is only used on the C-5A.
